The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is a registered charity that has saved 137,000 lives at sea since 1824. It provides, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service from more than 230 stations to 100 miles out from the coast of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. It also provides a beach lifeguard service on 62 beaches in the South West of England.
